About the Owner

JULALUK (JULIE) CHANTANEE - Born in Udon, Thailand, she came to the United States in 1987. Julie went to high school in the Seattle area and later graduated from Northwest College in Kirkland. Julie opened her first restaurant in 1996 and has bought delightful, authentic, and scrumptious Thai food to her many customers since then. Ask for her when you visit the restaurant and she will greet you with a warm smile and help you pick out the perfect dish for your Thai food experience.

About our Family

CHANTANEE - The family name. In honoring her father, Julie has decided to reimagine and bring back the well known CHANTANEE brand. The original CHANTANEE operated in Bellevue for many years with a very loyal following. Her father brought original dishes and the CHANTANEE distinctively original homemade CHILI PASTE to America. This CHILI PASTE is tasty and one that separates CHANTANEE from other Thai food restaurants. Ask us about it. We cant tell you about the secret ingredients, but we will describe the taste.

About our chefs

THE CHEFS - Well, to truly understand CHANTANEE it starts with getting to know the CHEFs. The family occupies the kitchen from MOM(PEN), my brother LEK to our adopted family BEN who has been with us since he was 16. Occasionally you will find JULIE cooking in the back. The family is very proud of the pride and effort that we put into delivering the best Thai food experience to you...OUR CUSTOMERS!
